Ryan Lawrence has been performing magic for over fifteen years. In addition to performing his one-man show, The Vanishing Art, Ryan provides consulting services related to magic, magic history, special effects, and theatre safety. He performs for children and adults, teaches magic and juggling workshops, gives motivational talks, and frequently writes about his experiences. Businesses utilize Ryan's corporate and tradeshow services to push their products into the spotlight!

In this intimate, close-up performance, Ryan Lawrence executes mind-blowing, classic sleight-of-hand effects. A personal narrative is woven into the show as Ryan talks about the interesting ways that magic has influenced his life. In the show, Ryan performs card manipulations, levitates objects, demonstrates common street cons, conducts a Houdini’s séance, and performs the oldest magic trick in recorded history. Ryan also pays tribute to some of magic’s greatest legends by performing the routines that made them famous.

Brandon Zale, member of the 2009 Canterbury Resident Company, will provide musical accompaniment for this production
